A quick response (QR) code is a black-and-white barcode that can be read easily by a digital device. It can be encoded with text or other data, such as email addresses, website addresses, and other information. In the SmartID system, QR codes are used as links to direct users to specific, individual product records in the SmartID database.

To use a QR code, all you need is a smartphone or mobile device equipped with a camera function. Once you’ve opened the camera app, simply hold your device over the QR code and allow it to scan the code. Once the QR code is scanned, you will be directed to the product record corresponding to that particular QR code.
